Long walk home by Mark Leese-Dixon:

Shoes wet from walking through clover,
And calves ache from the bridge I go over,

A train passes but I've missed the level crossing,
The wild uncut hedgerow proves very annoying,

Broken steps, embeded bricks,
Roots exposed and other trips,

Oh its a long walk home
But its where my heart is
Yeah its a long way back
To where my love is

The park is empty, rides soaking
Bus stops full of waste where kids have been smoking

Fallen leaves and the wind carries takeaway curry
Hungry me marching along in a hurry #

Traffic queues, building sites
A streetlamp fades, another lights

Oh its a long walk home
But its where my heart is
Yeah its a long way back
To where my love is
