Well Xmas is fast approaching. I find myself thinking, how on earth did that happen. Last time I checked, it was Summer. Halloween will happen is just a few days. Then the sky will be filled with beautiful bright colours also known as fireworks. Then it will be Xmas. Personally, I can't hear Santa's sleigh bells ringing in the distance. Things don't feel very colourful or Christmassy but I guess they soon will. We have taken our Xmas decorations out of our loft space and they are waiting to adorn themselves all over our house, well the lounge mostly but you get the idea. I wish the Xmas fairy would come and put all the decorations up but I suspect she will fail to appear, as she has failed every other year thus far and I will have put the decs up. Only to watch various items be pulled down again by my 19 month old. She wasn't really mobile last year but I recall that she still had a go at anything she could grab.
Maybe putting the decorations will put me in the mood. Perhaps my blog will become festooned with Christmas cheer. However Christmassy I feel on a scale of 0 - 10 will have to be deemed irrelevant for the sake of the children. My daughter wouldn't notice if things lacked a Christmas flavour, she has no Xmas expectations but my stepson would certainly spot the lack of Christmas cheer. So brace yourself Hazel, Xmas is approaching, rejoice and be merry!
An insight into the workings of my mind. You have been warned ;-) Here you will find my musings on various matters. From the profound to the ridiculous: seemingly disparate elements yet often found to be two sides of the same coin. Notable recent thoughts are mostly about personal growth and Astrology.
